Why Homemade?

"The Garden Soapery" offers a skin-healthy alternative to many of the harsh soaps and lotions found on store shelves.

Our products are made in small batches, contain high quality butters & Oils (which are great for the skin) and

produce a wonderful feeling of being pampered like Grandma used to do.

"The Garden Soapery" soaps retain more moisture when applied directly to the skin while bathing the

natural properties of our soaps have not been stripped away. Which will leave your skin naturally moisturized.

What's In it?

The ingredients in our products include skin-loving oils such as olive, coconut, hemp, grape-seed, palm & caster. Moisturizing Shea butter, Mango Seed Butter, coffee butter, cocoa butter, almond butter, aloe Vera, aloe juice, organic honey and fresh goats milk from a local dairy. Some ingredients we add may have exfoliating properties like ground organic herbs, teas, coffee, blueberry seeds, poppy seeds or organic oats depending on the scent you have chosen.

We take time to make our soap loaves unique. Each loaf/layer is hand poured, the curls, embeds etc are carefully created.

It takes a little bit of extra time to make and our customers choices are at the top of our list!

Our soaps are not mass produced or made with industrial soaping equipment. Each is created individually by hand.

How to care for your "The Garden Soapery" Homemade Soaps, Souffles & Massage Bars:

Once you have decided on your favorites there are some tips to getting the best results. Since homemade soaps are naturally high in glycerin which is great for your skin it also attracts water so you want to make sure and keep it dry between uses. "The Garden Soapery" also makes handmade homemade soap decks that are wonderful for wicking away moisture or a soap dish with raised nubs can help you preserve the life of your homemade soap.

Please note that "The Garden Soapery" bars weigh about  6 oz. larger than the industry standard.

We recommend storing your handmade soap in a cool, dry place-preferably NOT the bathroom.

A linen closet or your dresser drawers is great (plus the soap will make your linens/clothes smell great!).

The Garden Soapery  also packages in sustainable packaging wherever possible and many items are purchased

from Fair Trade sources to better our worlds global footprint and economy.

No animal testing on any products produced by The Garden Soapery.

Precautions: As with any soap, keep it out of your eyes (rinse thoroughly with water if this occurs)

discontinue using soap if irritation develops.

Be sure to check the ingredients if you have allergies. Be aware soaps have ingredients that may bother sensitive skin (cinnamon, mint, fragrances, essential oils etc. ) and that exfoliants can be scratchy i.e.. luffas, oats, coffee. Soap is slippery when wet, so take care not to step on a wet bar while bathing. Please, we know it smells good but DO NOT EAT THE SOAP.
